The upcoming Suunto Race 3S smartwatch retains the design language of the 2024 Race S model. It features a 45mm case diameter, a thickness of 11.4mm, and weighs 53g. The device maintains its 5 ATM water resistance rating and continues to include built-in GPS functionality alongside map applications.
The display has been upgraded to a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466x466 pixels. The peak brightness now reaches 2,000 nits, which is approximately three times higher than the 600 nits offered by the previous generation. Additionally, the screen protection has been upgraded from Gorilla Glass to sapphire crystal.
Internal storage capacity has been doubled from 32GB to 64GB, allowing for more offline maps and local music storage. Battery performance for GPS usage has also seen an improvement, increasing from 30 hours to 45 hours of continuous operation. Details regarding standard daily battery life have not yet been disclosed.
