Suno has launched new AI music generation models in partnership with Warner Music Group and BMG. These tools allow users to create tracks inspired by artists whose compositions are officially licensed.
Access to the new tools is tiered by subscription. The flagship v6 model is designed for precise creative goals, while the experimental v6-Wild version is for exploring unconventional ideas. Both are available to Pro users paying $8 per month and Premier users paying $24 per month.
A free version, v6-mini, is available to all users. According to the developers, it operates faster and with higher quality than other free alternatives in the music service market.
The company plans to develop a system allowing artists to connect to the service independently and receive royalties when users create content based on their compositions.
The update marks a full transition to v6 models, replacing older versions. Suno, which has raised over $400 million in investments with a valuation of $5.4 billion, follows the example of Udio, which previously settled lawsuits with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. Suno had also settled a lawsuit with Warner Music and entered into a licensing agreement.
