In May 2026, Strive rebranded as The Daily Dividend Company and transitioned SATA to daily cash dividends on June 16. On September 24, the board proposed shifting STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD to a daily payout schedule, pending shareholder approval at a special meeting on October 28.
The proposal maintains existing annual dividend economics while altering payment frequency. Previously, STRC paid $0.50 twice monthly, while SATA pays approximately five cents each business day. Strategy also raised the dividend rate to 12% and deployed over $1 billion for STRC buybacks.
The shift addresses cash flow mismatches in digital credit products integrated with DeFi. By compressing the gap between economic accrual and cash receipt to one day, daily dividends simplify liquidity management for protocols and funds that support daily user distributions or redemptions.
Daily payouts impact options mechanics by spreading annual cash flow across smaller price adjustments, potentially reducing realized and implied volatility. Strive aims to keep assets trading near a target price of $100, using daily dividends to enhance retail appeal and improve product psychology.
As of mid-May, Strategy estimated that over $440 million of STRC exposure had moved into DeFi structures, including stablecoins and tokenized securities. The company intends to use these security design optimizations to raise capital for Bitcoin purchases.
