Strive Inc. plans to acquire 1,100 BTC on September 8. This purchase will be funded by the sale of SATA preferred stock, allowing the company to expand its treasury without taking on debt.
As of late August, Strive held 23,156 BTC, making it the fifth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder among publicly traded companies. This is a significant increase from approximately 5,000 BTC held in the fall of 2025.
In August, the company acquired more than 3,000 BTC. This included 1,110 BTC at an average price of approximately $73,409 per coin and 1,800 BTC at roughly $79,431 each.
The upcoming purchase will push total holdings past 24,000 BTC, surpassing the CEO's original goal of 20,000 BTC by the end of 2026. CEO Matt Cole has mentioned potential acquisitions to further increase the total.
The company, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker ASST, uses a specific financing mechanism. It issues ASST common shares and SATA preferred stock to fund purchases, maintaining a near debt-free balance sheet.
