Streamflow Foundation has permanently removed 699.99 million STREAM tokens from circulation, representing 70% of the total supply. The destruction was executed via a single on-chain transaction on the Solana network using programmatic burn instructions, reducing the total supply from 1 billion to 300 million tokens.

The burn encompasses 100% of the Foundation’s allocation, including both locked and unlocked tokens, alongside a portion of founder and team holdings. CEO Mališa Stanojević stated that the move eliminates treasury-related supply variables, ensuring that the tokens cannot be recovered, reissued, or restored by any future decision.

Following the burn, the remaining supply consists of 11.47% in vesting contracts for early contributors, 4.03% for team members, 3.42% in active staking rewards, and 11.08% in free circulation. The company confirmed that its product operations, including token locks, vesting, and staking tools, remain unaffected.

Streamflow currently reports over $725 million in Total Value Locked across more than 40,000 projects and 1.3 million users. The platform is backed by investors including Jump Crypto, Solana Ventures, and IVC, with smart contracts audited by Neodyme, FYEO, and OPCODES.

The foundation announced a subsequent transition involving a one-way swap of STREAM tokens for xSTREAM, a transfer-restricted security. This swap will be available for a six-month window to verified eligible investors, excluding retail participants in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
