Strategy chair Michael Saylor hinted at further Bitcoin acquisitions in a post on X, stating there is always room for more. Investors await an official filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which is expected no earlier than Tuesday due to the Columbus Day holiday.
Between September 28 and October 4, the company purchased 334 Bitcoin for $28.7 million. This brought its total holdings to exactly 848,000 BTC. During the same timeframe, Strategy repurchased approximately 1.77 million shares of its STRC preferred stock for $176.3 million.
Data from an October 5 SEC filing shows that the company spent over six times its weekly Bitcoin budget on stock repurchases during that period. Analyst Shanaka Anslem Perera noted that Strategy raised $5.41 billion from new common shares in the third quarter.
The company concluded the third quarter with 1,666 more BTC than it held at the end of June. While the firm continues to raise capital through share sales, analysts suggest that these funds are being used to support cash reserves and preferred shareholders alongside potential future Bitcoin purchases.
