Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has introduced a proposal to implement daily dividend payments for its preferred stock series, specifically STRF, STRC, STRK, and STRD. Under this plan, dividends would accrue every calendar day, including weekends and holidays, with actual payouts occurring on the following business day.

The company emphasizes that this change in payment frequency does not alter the total annual return for investors. Currently, the STRC series offers a 12% annual dividend based on a stated value of $100 per share. This adjustment is intended to provide more frequent cash flow, similar to receiving a portion of a salary daily rather than in a single monthly installment.

Management states that the initiative aims to enhance liquidity, support price stability, and stimulate demand for these specific financial instruments. By shifting to a daily distribution model, the company seeks to position STRC as a dedicated income-generating product, distinct from the flagship MSTR stock.

Despite the structural changes, risks remain for investors. The STRC price is not guaranteed to stay at $100, as demonstrated in June when the asset fell to $75 following a decline in Bitcoin prices. Furthermore, the ability to pay dividends remains contingent upon the company maintaining sufficient cash reserves to meet its obligations.
