Strategy repurchased 1,420,467 shares of its STRC preferred stock for $139.3 million between September 8 and 13. The company funded this transaction entirely from its USD cash reserves, which decreased to $1.30 billion from $1.44 billion the previous week.
The company did not acquire any additional Bitcoin for the second consecutive week, maintaining its holdings at 845,050 BTC. This total stack was acquired for $63.73 billion, reflecting an average cost of $75,412 per coin.
Under its current financial programs, Strategy has $1.05 billion remaining from a $2 billion digital credit securities repurchase authorization. Additionally, a separate $1 billion allocation for MSTR common stock buybacks remains untouched.
The company reports that its STRC Bitcoin credit spread is approximately 57 basis points, keeping the security within its internal investment-grade threshold of 150 basis points. The aggregate Bitcoin reserve is valued at $66.2 billion.
Strategy is currently monitoring an MSCI proposal that could remove non-operating companies from global equity benchmarks. The consultation period ends September 30, with a final decision expected on October 16.
