Police in Pennsylvania located a blue Chevrolet Corvette Stingray involved in a street takeover in Stroudsburg. The incident occurred on August 29, when the vehicle was filmed performing donuts at the intersection of Main and 7th streets near midnight. Officers arrived on the scene within nine minutes of receiving reports, but the driver had already left the area.
The investigation revealed that the sports car had been stolen from a dealership in Rhode Island. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned by New Jersey State Police on Interstate 80. Before abandoning the car, the driver led police on a chase and successfully escaped. At the time of discovery, the Corvette was equipped with fake New York license plates reading MAFIA.
Authorities have not yet identified the driver or disclosed the name of the dealership from which the vehicle was taken. The investigation into the theft and the street takeover incident remains ongoing. Law enforcement continues to work on determining how the perpetrators gained access to the car and who was responsible for the reckless driving captured on video.
