SteelSeries has unveiled the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro wireless gaming mice, available in standard and compact versions. The devices utilize Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, operating in the 6.4 to 9.056 GHz range via an included transceiver. This setup supports a polling rate of 8000 Hz, offering increased bandwidth and reduced signal interference compared to traditional 2.4 GHz connections.
Both models feature the TrueMove 42K Pro optical sensor, which provides 42,000 DPI, 800 IPS speed, and 70G acceleration. The mice are equipped with optical-mechanical switches rated for 100 million clicks and six programmable buttons. Users can adjust the lift-off distance between 0.7 and 1.7 mm and store one profile on the onboard memory.
The UWB transceiver doubles as a charging station for the included dual batteries. Each battery lasts up to 16 hours at an 8000 Hz polling rate or 60 hours at 1000 Hz. With two batteries, the total runtime reaches 32 or 120 hours respectively. The package also includes replacement feet and anti-slip grips.
Configuration is managed via the SteelSeries GG app or a web interface, offering tools like rotation control, sensitivity conversion, and a 3D aim trainer. All versions of the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro are priced at $179.99. Pre-orders opened on September 29, 2026, with retail availability scheduled for October 13.
