Valve has updated its Steam hardware survey, revealing that the GeForce RTX 5070 has become the most popular graphics card on the platform. The card climbed from third to first place, gaining 2.46 percentage points in a single month to reach a 6.35% share. This marks the first time in a decade that a 70-class card has led the rankings.

Experts suggest the data may be inaccurate, as such rapid shifts often stem from anomalies in data collection, such as activity in Chinese gaming cafes, which Valve typically corrects in subsequent reports. The GeForce RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti also saw significant gains, while the long-standing leader, the GeForce RTX 3060, dropped to fifth place.

The report also highlights a shift in memory standards, with 32 GB of RAM now being the most common configuration, present in 42.22% of systems. In the CPU market, Intel maintains a lead with 52.29%, while AMD follows closely with 47.41%. Market trends suggest that AMD could potentially overtake Intel in the coming months.
