Starknet deployed version 0.14.4 to its mainnet on October 5, 2026, following a testnet launch on September 15, 2026. The update focuses on scaling and infrastructure refinements.

The release expands SNIP-36, allowing developers to execute compute-heavy logic off-chain and submit results as a single transaction. The capacity for these proofs has increased to 1.1 billion Layer 2 gas, matching the scale of a full Starknet block.

The upgrade includes minor gas-weight adjustments, which are expected to shift transaction costs by less than 1% for most users. Additionally, the network has deprecated legacy feeder gateway endpoints such as call and get_storage_at.

Node operators are required to update their software to maintain compatibility. Full nodes must now run Pathfinder v0.24.0 or Juno v0.16.6, as the new verifier rejects proofs generated under the previous v0.14.3 version.
