Standard Chartered has officially announced the launch of custody services for select digital assets tailored to its institutional clientele. The bank plans to integrate these offerings directly into its existing regulated banking infrastructure.
The initiative utilizes the Zodia Custody platform, which currently supports a diverse portfolio of more than 75 different cryptoassets and various tokenized assets. This development aligns with the bank's broader strategic goal of incorporating digital asset management into its core operations.
The move reflects a wider industry trend where traditional financial institutions are increasingly establishing a presence in the digital asset sector. Market observers are now monitoring how these institutional integrations and future regulatory approvals for Zodia Custody will impact the broader market landscape.
