Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group launched by Coinbase in 2023, announced a new list of bipartisan endorsements for the upcoming November midterm elections. This move follows the recent failure of the Clarity Act in the Senate, which stalled with a 49-50 vote last month. The group aims to influence the legislative landscape by supporting candidates who align with its digital asset policy goals.
The organization has selected three Senate candidates for its first round of endorsements in this category. These include Republican Jon Husted in Ohio, Republican Ashley Hinson in Iowa, and Democrat Chris Pappas in New Hampshire. The group stated that its selections are based on policy positions rather than party affiliation, with the goal of electing pro-crypto lawmakers to Congress.
In the House of Representatives, the group is backing candidates such as Iowa Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Alabama Democrat Shomari Figures. Additionally, Stand With Crypto plans to increase advertising efforts across six House campaigns. This follows an August initiative where the group endorsed 32 House incumbents identified as digital asset policy champions.
While Stand With Crypto does not provide direct campaign contributions, it focuses on voter mobilization and candidate grading through its Voter Hub. The group claims to represent over three million advocates. Meanwhile, broader industry-aligned political spending for the 2026 cycle has reached approximately $200 million, including a $30 million effort by the Fairshake super PAC.
