SparkLend, the lending division of the Spark ecosystem, reported a 55% increase in its total market size since the beginning of 2026, reaching $7.39 billion in September. According to DefiLlama, the protocol's current total value locked stands at approximately $4.96 billion, with $2.436 billion in active loans.

The protocol experienced significant growth over the summer, adding over $1.3 billion in locked value between the end of May 2026 and September. This performance positions SparkLend as the third-largest lending protocol tracked by DefiLlama, following its initial launch on the Ethereum network in May 2023.

As part of a strategic shift to focus on its core Ethereum operations, the protocol officially deprecated its deployment on the Gnosis Chain on September 14, 2026. The decision was attributed to low user activity and cost inefficiencies on the secondary network.

Users with outstanding loans on the Gnosis Chain were required to migrate or repay their positions before the September 14 deadline. Failure to comply makes these positions eligible for liquidation. The protocol continues to support blue-chip assets, including ETH, stablecoins like USDS and USDT, and wrapped Bitcoin.
