SpaceX is offering a 50 percent discount on Starlink Residential service plans for residents living near its data centers. The initiative covers areas in Memphis, Tennessee, Southaven, Mississippi, and Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, where the company plans to construct a new spaceport.

Since late June, more than 2,000 subscribers have enrolled in the discounted service. The offer provides a monthly rate of $27.50 for a 100 Mbps Starlink plan. This program is available to both new and existing customers in the specified regions.

The company currently operates 69 unpermitted generators at its data center site. SpaceX has committed to removing these units over the next year as a new 1.2 GW power plant becomes operational to replace the existing power infrastructure.
