The Space Mission 62 keyboard is a split device developed as an evolution of the Space Mission 30 left-hand gaming keypad. The design features an asymmetric layout where the left side retains the gaming-focused configuration of the SM30, while the right side includes additional keys for typing.
The keyboard utilizes Gateron Red low-profile mechanical linear switches. Users can customize key assignments and create specific layers for different games or tasks using the Entropy software, which supports storing over 100 macro sequences.
The layout includes dedicated keys for thumbs, with the Ctrl key moved to the thumb position to free up the pinky finger. The device also features displays that show layout information, date, time, and animations.
The split design allows users to adjust the position and angle of each half on the desk. The right half can be detached, allowing the left side to function independently as a dedicated gaming keypad.
