Sony has introduced its first full-frame fisheye zoom lens, the 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G (SEL814G). The product is priced at ¥9999 and emphasizes a lightweight design, weighing only 314g.
The lens supports both circular and diagonal fisheye modes. At 8mm, it captures a 180-degree field of view, while the 14mm setting is designed for wide-angle landscape photography.
The optical construction includes one ED aspherical element, two aspherical elements, and four ED elements to minimize flare and ghosting. It also features dual linear focus motors, enabling 120 fps continuous shooting when paired with the Alpha 9 III camera.
The device offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.15m and a maximum magnification of 0.22x. Additionally, the lens supports rear-mounted filters and includes a dust- and moisture-resistant design.
