A Turkish PlayStation user reported a permanent ban on both their PS5 console and associated PlayStation Network account after connecting a modified device to the internet. The incident was shared within a local Facebook group, where the user displayed the error code WS-116332-6, indicating that access to services has been suspended.

The warning specifically targets users running firmware version 13.60 or lower. Recent developments in the PS5 homebrew scene have enabled exploits for these versions, utilizing the relapse vulnerability originally discovered by Nathan Fargo and Sonic ISO. This exploit is compatible with both the base PS5 model and the PS5 Pro.

While previous methods for firmware versions above 12.00 required approximately 50 minutes to load, the new approach significantly reduces this time to just a few seconds. Despite these technical advancements, the risk of permanent hardware and account bans remains high for those attempting to access online services with modified consoles.
