The Solana network recorded a new all-time high for daily token issuance on Wednesday, with over 263,000 new Solana Program Library tokens minted. This figure significantly exceeds the previous peak observed in December 2024, when daily issuance ranged between 40,000 and 50,000 tokens.
The memecoin platform Pump.fun emerged as the primary driver of this activity among launchpads. According to data from Blockworks, the platform was responsible for 34,184 of the 40,360 tokens created through such services. Launchpads allow users to design and trade tokens without requiring advanced technical expertise.
Pump.fun currently maintains its position as the leading protocol on Solana by daily revenue, generating $1.8 million over the past 24 hours. While the trading application Fomo briefly surpassed this revenue figure last Friday, Pump.fun remains a significant contributor to the network's income.
During the first quarter of 2026, Pump.fun generated $124 million in revenue. This amount represented one-third of the total $342 million earned by the Solana network during that period, despite a reported decline in overall memecoin market activity.
