The Real Economic Value (REV) metric for the Solana network has reached its highest weekly level since January. This follows a period of declining revenue that occurred after the initial memecoin activity subsided.
On August 19, daily revenue for the network exceeded $1 million, representing the highest single-day output in six months. Furthermore, daily average application fees throughout September returned to levels not observed since January.
In August, Solana processed 5.2 billion non-vote transactions, which exceeded the combined volume of all other Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks. During the same month, the stablecoin supply reached a record high of approximately $17.63 billion.
The ecosystem for real-world assets on Solana has surpassed $4 billion in value, encompassing private credit and tokenized treasuries. In July, the network captured 16.5% of all tracked protocol fees, reclaiming the top position among all blockchains.
Network performance metrics show that slot times have decreased to an average of 250–300 milliseconds. Additionally, a governance vote in August aimed to double the disinflation rate, shifting validator income reliance toward transaction fees.
