According to data from DeFiLlama, decentralized applications on the Solana network generated $5,14 million in revenue over a 24-hour period. In comparison, applications on the Base network recorded $304 000 during the same timeframe, resulting in a revenue ratio of 16.9 to 1.

The metric used by DeFiLlama tracks fees collected by decentralized applications, including decentralized exchanges, trading platforms, and token launchpads. These figures exclude base-layer fees, focusing exclusively on the monetization performance of applications within each ecosystem.

Solana has shown consistent growth throughout 2026. Its monthly application revenue reached $91 million in May and increased to $143 million by August, representing a 57% rise over the three-month period.

The growth on Solana is attributed to a high concentration of high-frequency trading apps and meme coin launchpads. Conversely, while Base benefits from support by Coinbase, it has struggled to convert transaction activity into significant fee retention at the application layer.
