Decentralized exchanges on the Solana network processed over 208 million trades in one week. This figure exceeds the transaction count of the New York Stock Exchange and reaches approximately 88% of the weekly volume seen on Nasdaq.
The Raydium protocol serves as the primary engine for this activity, handling between 63% and 70% of tokenized equity volume during peak periods. On September 12, daily tokenized equity volume on Solana surpassed $200 million, exceeding the combined volume of NYSE and Nasdaq by over $100 million.
As of September 13, the supply of tokenized equities on Solana hit a record $684 million, marking a 47% increase over three weeks. The ecosystem recorded 727,000 holders and over 128,000 active traders within a 24-hour window.
While Solana operates 168 hours per week, traditional exchanges function for 32.5 hours. Data shows 63% of Solana's tokenized equity trading occurs outside standard US market hours. Estimates indicate that 85% to 97% of on-chain equity volume flows through Solana.
