Snap has officially launched its Specs augmented reality glasses, priced at $2195. The device functions as a fully autonomous wearable computer, eliminating the need for external connections to smartphones or PCs to run applications.

The glasses feature dual displays integrated into both lenses. They are powered by the proprietary Specs Intelligence AI platform, which provides real-time information to the user. The system can handle tasks like flight status updates or automated ticket purchases.

For connectivity, Snap will release applications for Apple Mac and iPhone, enabling integration with services such as Gmail, Slack, and Messages. The device is designed for various use cases, ranging from AR gaming to serving as a virtual television or navigation tool.

The company is targeting both individual consumers and corporate clients. Through an integration with Salesforce, the glasses can recognize objects and display relevant data on-site. Additionally, Snap is collaborating with Nvidia to deploy AI agents to assist workers.
