Smart has officially unveiled the #2 electric two-seater at the Paris Motor Show. The vehicle is built on the new Electric Compact Architecture (ECA) platform and is scheduled to enter the market in 2027. The model measures 2.79 meters in length with a turning circle of 6.95 meters and a curb weight of approximately 1,130 kilograms.

The car features a 60 kW rear-mounted electric motor from InfiMotion and a 35.7 kWh LFP battery pack assembled by Geely using CATL cells. It offers an estimated WLTP range of 300 kilometers and supports fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes. The vehicle also includes Vehicle-to-Load functionality to power external devices.

Production will initially take place in China for export to Europe and other regions. The company noted that domestic European production was avoided to prevent a one to two-year delay in the launch, though it remains a possibility if demand is sufficient. The European market entry price is set at €19,999.

The lineup will include a Brabus variant and a limited Couture Edition restricted to 2,000 units. The #2 marks the return of the two-seater concept to the Smart portfolio following the discontinuation of the original Fortwo in spring 2024. The brand currently operates as a 50:50 joint venture between Geely and Mercedes-Benz.
