Smart China has officially launched the early bird program for its new two-seater electric vehicle, the Smart #2. Interested customers can secure their reservation by paying a deposit of ¥298, which is fully refundable.
Participants in the early bird program receive several benefits, including free access to premium body color options, priority access to initial test drive invitations, and entry into a lucky draw event.
The vehicle is built on the proprietary ECA architecture and features a minimum turning diameter of 6.95 meters. It is equipped with a 35.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a range of nearly 400 km under the CLTC cycle.
The battery supports DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. The car is powered by a 60 kW electric motor, enabling a top speed of 140 km/h.
According to regulatory filings, the Smart #2 measures 2751 mm or 2764 mm in length, 1669 mm in width, and 1555 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1875 mm. The vehicle has a curb weight of 1130 kg.
