The new Skoda Octavia Full Hybrid features a series-parallel powertrain combining a 1.5-liter TSI evo2 engine with two electric motors, a single-speed automatic transmission, and a clutch. One motor functions as a generator and starter, while the second provides traction and energy recuperation. The system operates in three modes, including a pure electric mode with a range of up to 2 km.
In sequential mode, the engine powers the generator for speeds up to 60 km/h or during acceleration. At higher speeds, the parallel mode engages the engine directly to the front wheels via the clutch for improved efficiency. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.6 kWh battery located under the rear seat, with the system maintaining a charge between 40% and 90%.
The hybrid is available in two power configurations: a 100 kW version and a 125 kW variant. Both models feature a 40-liter fuel tank and a fuel consumption rate of 4.3 liters per 100 km. Top speed is electronically capped at 180 km/h. The battery placement reduces trunk capacity to 460 liters for the liftback and 485 liters for the estate version.
Standard equipment includes a 13-inch infotainment display and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. Customers can choose between Selection and Sportline trim levels. Orders for the Skoda Octavia Full Hybrid open in October 2026, with initial deliveries scheduled for December 2026. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
