Skeleton Technologies has reached a valuation exceeding $1 billion following a new investment round led by Siemens. The company, which specializes in supercapacitors using Curved Graphene material, secured a nine-digit funding amount, with the total investment exceeding $100 million.
The capital will support the expansion of US operations, with over $200 million earmarked for research, development, and the establishment of cell manufacturing facilities. Skeleton aims to provide power systems for hyperscalers to manage the rapid energy demands of AI infrastructure.
The partnership with Siemens has evolved, as the industrial group has secured rights to distribute Skeleton’s energy storage solutions to data center clients. Siemens previously automated the Leipzig SuperFactory, which opened in November 2025 following a €220 million investment.
Skeleton, founded in 2009 by Taavi Madiberk and Oliver Ahlberg, currently employs over 300 people. The company is reportedly considering a US public listing in 2027, joining other European infrastructure firms seeking to attract American investors.
