SINVER is an open-source web application designed to manage IT infrastructure records and DNS settings. The tool acts as a single source of truth for tracking servers, IP addresses, domains, and their roles, replacing manual spreadsheets.

The application uses SQLite for local data storage. For DNS management, it supports PowerDNS with a PostgreSQL backend, allowing centralized control. It also provides functionality to generate zone files for BIND9.

The system includes a push mechanism for applying DNS changes, which allows users to review differences and perform validation checks before updates are finalized. This feature is intended to prevent configuration errors.

The project is currently in the MVP stage, version 0.0.0. The codebase was developed using the Flask framework with the assistance of an AI agent. The developer plans to refactor the code into modules to address technical debt.

Future development plans include implementing built-in authentication, creating a REST API for CI/CD and monitoring integration, and packaging the application for installation via pip and containerization.
