Chinese manufacturer Silkland has opened orders for its new H96 series HDMI 2.2 cables, which are among the first certified products to support a bandwidth of up to 96 Gbps. This throughput is double that of the HDMI 2.1 Ultra High Speed standard.

The cables are available in 2-meter and 3-meter lengths, with prices starting at $32.99 for the 2-meter version. Each product has passed the HDMI Ultra Cable certification program and features a QR code for authenticity verification.

Shipments of the Silkland cables are scheduled to begin in batches starting October 5. Meanwhile, the Japanese company ELECOM has also announced its own HDMI 2.2 Ultra96 cables, with a market release expected in mid-November.

The HDMI 2.2 specification, introduced in June 2025, utilizes Fixed Rate Link technology to enable 4K video at 240 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz. It also introduces the Latency Indication Protocol for improved audio-video synchronization.

Current GPU lineups, including Nvidia GeForce RTX 50, AMD Radeon RX 9000, and Intel Arc B series, remain limited to HDMI 2.1 or 2.1b standards. Future hardware support for HDMI 2.2 is anticipated in upcoming graphics card generations.
