Tech leaders are adopting the term super intelligence following Donald Trump's push to rebrand artificial intelligence. Elon Musk was among the first to comply, announcing that SpaceXAI will be renamed to SpaceXSI.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff also joined the shift, stating that AIForce will become SIForce. This move followed a statement from the White House declaring the use of the term artificial intelligence as unacceptable.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who attended the summit where the executive order on the terminology was announced, has aligned with the administration. Nvidia recently committed $1 billion to scientific advancement, specifically including super intelligence research.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has also adopted the new terminology. In a recent statement regarding the development of an emergency brake for the technology, Nadella consistently referred to it as super intelligence.
The summit was attended by several industry figures, including Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, Jeff Bezos, and Dario Amodei. This trend reflects a broader effort by Silicon Valley firms to improve relations with the current administration.
