Sigma has unveiled the 50-120mm F2.8 DC OS Contemporary lens, designed specifically for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens offers an equivalent full-frame field of view of 75-180mm while maintaining a constant F2.8 aperture across the entire zoom range.

The device features a compact design, measuring 99mm in length and weighing 390g. It is available in three mount options: Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Canon RF. The optical construction consists of 18 elements in 13 groups, including FLD, SLD, and aspherical lens elements.

For autofocus performance, the lens utilizes an HLA high-speed linear motor. It also incorporates the OS2 optical stabilization algorithm, providing 6.5 stops of stabilization at the wide end and 4.5 stops at the telephoto end.

The lens is built with a dust and splash-resistant structure and includes a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element. It also features physical switches for focus mode and image stabilization, with an optical design optimized to minimize focus breathing for video production.
