OMV has installed the SICHARGE FLEX system from Siemens eMobility at its station in Kufstein, Austria. This site serves as a pilot location for the technology, which Siemens introduced in October 2025. The facility is positioned along the Brenner Route, a key transport corridor connecting Germany and Italy, and provides dedicated infrastructure for truck drivers.

The current installation at the Kufstein station features four charging points for passenger vehicles and two points for trucks, each delivering up to 400 kW. The system utilizes dynamic power distribution to manage energy allocation across connected vehicles. The site also includes amenities for drivers, such as restaurants, showers, and laundry facilities.

Future expansion plans for the Kufstein location include the addition of four MCS charging points specifically for trucks. These upcoming units will offer power outputs between 600 kW and 1,200 kW. The SICHARGE FLEX system itself is designed for both public and depot use, supporting a total power range from 480 kW up to 1.68 MW for various vehicle types.
