The open-source PAM platform JumpServer PAM has been successfully tested for compatibility with the Russian container platform Shturval, developed by Laboratoriya Chislitel. The integration allows users to deploy a centralized access management point directly within Kubernetes clusters.
Shturval manages cluster access through OS templates and RBAC models compatible with Active Directory and LDAP. JumpServer PAM complements this by providing specialized privileged access control, which was previously outside the scope of the container platform.
During testing, the companies evaluated four key areas: system scalability, secure connection protocols, audit and monitoring capabilities, and user permission restrictions. The solution is designed to support both remote access and infrastructure monitoring.
The integration aims to reduce operational costs and improve disaster recovery for IT infrastructure. JumpServer PAM is available in a free edition by default, with an extended version offered for larger enterprise deployments.
