Sheremetyevo International Airport has initiated two tenders for the procurement of data storage systems (DSS) totaling 225 million rubles. The project aims to modernize the airport's IT infrastructure to ensure continuous operation even in the event of physical damage to a data center.
The first tender, valued at 145 million rubles, involves the purchase of three high-end storage systems to scale the existing Aerodisk ecosystem. These units must support synchronous replication and metro-cluster configurations, with storage capacities of at least 230 TB and 339 TB respectively.
A second tender worth 80 million rubles covers the acquisition of three mid-range storage systems. These must support at least 150 drives per array and the ALUA mode. All equipment must be compatible with Russian software, including Astra Linux, RED OS, and the zVirt virtualization environment.
The required architecture relies on synchronous and asynchronous replication to an existing Aerodisk Engine N4 AQ440 system. This setup allows for automatic, transparent failover between data centers, ensuring that critical airport services remain operational during site failures.
