At the 2026 China Automotive Industry Development International Forum, Seres Group Technology President Liu Zongcheng stated that the industry's primary risk is rapid development at the expense of quality. He emphasized that relying on low pricing and compressed validation cycles is unsustainable for long-term growth.

Liu Zongcheng identified unhealthy competition, including malicious pricing, data falsification, and smear campaigns, as the main threats to the sector. He proposed that the industry should establish unified standards and self-discipline to combat these practices, prioritizing safety and quality as essential foundations.

Looking ahead, Seres plans to expand its global presence over the next decade. This strategic shift follows recent regulatory updates from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which in August introduced stricter technical review requirements for new products and mandated the establishment of chief quality officer roles.
