The Aiva ME7, the first vehicle developed through the collaboration between Seres and CATL, has been listed in the latest product catalogue from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This pure electric passenger car will be available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations, with all models featuring a five-seat interior layout.
The vehicle offers several optional features, including red brake callipers, a black roof, diverse wheel designs, towing hitches, and ETC units. Every unit comes standard with an Event Data Recorder. Both motor versions of the ME7 share the same exterior dimensions and top speed capabilities.
CATL launched two CTP 2.0 battery production lines at the Seres facility in June 2025 to support local manufacturing. The companies recently signed an agreement to expand this factory-within-a-factory project. The second phase aims for an annual capacity of 10 to 12 GWh, bringing the total combined capacity of both phases to over 20 GWh.
