The September 2026 edition of the 'Computer of the Month' guide features four gaming PC configurations: starter, basic, optimal, and advanced. These builds are tailored to the inventory of the X-Com Shop partner retailer, which provides nationwide delivery services.
The market is currently experiencing a significant chip shortage, leading to sharp price increases for both memory and graphics cards. Compared to June, the cost of popular GPU models has risen significantly, with GeForce RTX 5060 starting at 51 000 ₽ and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti reaching 136 500 ₽.
The starter build focuses on the AM4 platform due to the limited availability of CPUs for the LGA1700 socket. Ryzen 5 5600 remains a recommended choice, as it outperforms the Ryzen 5 5500 by approximately 17% in gaming scenarios using high-end discrete graphics.
Intel's Core i5-12400 is currently priced at 17 500 ₽. For budget-conscious users, the guide suggests prioritizing a faster GPU over a high-end CPU, noting that the performance gap between the Core i5-13400F and Core i5-12400F is only about 4%.
The optimal build now targets Full HD resolution, utilizing 32 GB of RAM and the 16 GB version of the Radeon RX 9060 XT. While the system handles most AAA titles at 60 FPS, demanding games may require quality settings adjustments or the use of FSR upscaling.
Graphics card availability remains constrained, with Intel Arc B570 and B580 models being scarce. In the absence of preferred options, the guide suggests Radeon RX 7600 for starter builds and notes that Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB is priced from 68 500 ₽ at X-Com Shop.
