Munich-based civil security startup Arcos has secured €5.5 million in a funding round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds. Other participants in the round included Bayern Kapital, Pact, Haufe, Robin Capital, and a group of strategic business angels.
Founded a year ago by Louis Wübben and Moritz Steigerwald, the company provides infrastructure for civil security. Its technology integrates signal processing and operational workflows into a single system, replacing fragmented solutions currently used by operators in sectors like transport, energy, and data management.
The startup operates as a full-service provider, handling everything from software development to incident response. By keeping development, operations, and user feedback in-house, Arcos aims to improve system efficiency as more sensors are deployed across commercial and critical sites.
The company plans to utilize the new capital to expand its team in Germany and further develop its platform. Additionally, the funding will support the firm's initial entry into the critical infrastructure market and its subsequent expansion into other European countries.
