The Russian market for directory services is currently in a transitional phase as organizations migrate from Microsoft Active Directory. According to a September 2025 CNewsMarket report, RED ADM Industrial Edition ranks second among domestic directory services, following ALD Pro and preceding Alt Domain, Rosa Dynamic Directory, and Elles.
Data from Anti-Malware.ru indicates that 34% of respondents cite incompatibility with existing IT systems as a primary barrier to transition, while 29% report a shortage of qualified personnel and 24% point to insufficient functionality. Furthermore, 79% of incidents recorded in 2024 involved credential compromise as the primary access vector.
An analysis of the RED ADM compatibility catalog reveals that security categories related to privileged access, authentication, and cryptography are well-covered due to regulatory requirements for critical information infrastructure. Solutions like Ankey IDM, Trusted.ID, and various hardware-based authentication tools are integrated into the ecosystem.
While general-purpose monitoring, SIEM, and antivirus integrations are present, the ecosystem lacks specialized directory security tools. Specifically, there are no available products for attack path discovery or directory change management, which remain critical gaps in the current domestic software landscape compared to mature Active Directory environments.
