Sechenov University and the Russian manufacturer NPO RMed have received registration certificates from Roszdravnadzor for a new line of anesthesia and respiratory equipment. The development process took approximately two years and involved a multidisciplinary team of scientists, doctors, and engineers.

The new equipment includes the Kedr series of anesthesia machines, designed for both adult and pediatric patients, including newborns. Additionally, the Iva series of ventilators, specifically models Iva I30 and Iva I50, have been registered for use in intensive care, operating rooms, and patient transport.

The project utilized reverse engineering of foreign medical devices to adapt them for Russian clinical standards. Enhancements include improved compatibility with various anesthetic agents, better stability against gas supply fluctuations, and a redesigned graphical interface.

NPO RMed currently manages the full production cycle, including assembly and testing, within Russia. The company aims to transition to fully domestic components within the next three years and plans to expand its portfolio of localized medical devices.
