SberDevices is expanding its operations in Shenzhen, China, through its subsidiary Shibei Technology. Registered in November 2020 with a capital of $300 million, the company manages the production of smart devices at local ODM and OEM factories. Maxim Malezhin, who has led SberDevices since 2019, serves as the representative for the Chinese entity.
The company is actively recruiting staff for its Shenzhen office, including quality control engineers and project managers. Open positions involve overseeing the production of smart TVs, speakers, wearable electronics, and corporate hardware. Salaries for these roles range from ¥20,000 to ¥30,000 per month, depending on the specific responsibilities and technical requirements.
Shibei Technology focuses on AI, robotics, AR/VR, and biometric recognition to build an IoT ecosystem. Current production partners include factories such as ExpressLuck, Shenzhen KTC Technology, and HKCO Verseas. These facilities handle the manufacturing of Sber-branded monitors, tablets, and laptops, which were previously documented for series production.
While SberDevices continues to use the Sber brand, Sberbank stated in January that it is no longer a shareholder of the company. According to 2022 financial data, SberDevices reported revenue of 4.4 ₽ billion, reflecting a 201% increase from the previous year, alongside a net loss of 2.7 ₽ billion. No subsequent financial reports have been disclosed.
