Saudi Arabian automaker Ceer Motors has officially unveiled its new EXOBOT electric vehicles. These models are the first of seven planned vehicles that the company intends to manufacture in the Kingdom over the next five years.
Ceer is a joint venture established in 2022 between the Saudi Public Investment Fund and the Taiwanese company Foxconn. The automaker utilizes technology licenses from BMW to support its production efforts.
The company is developing the Ceer Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City. Construction of the 5 billion USD facility began in 2024 and includes production lines, logistics, and a test track.
The firm is led by CEO Jim DeLuca, who joined last year following his tenure at VinFast. Ceer counts industry partners such as Durr, Schuler, Siemens, and ABB among its collaborators.
According to the Public Investment Fund, Ceer is expected to contribute 8 billion USD directly to the Saudi economy by 2034. The venture aims to serve both the domestic market and regional exports.
