Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) is evaluating the potential merger of its gaming assets, Electronic Arts (EA) and Savvy Games, to create a single gaming entity. The fund currently holds a 93.4% stake in EA, making it the largest shareholder following the company's privatization.

Savvy Games operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the PIF. Its portfolio includes the mobile gaming firm Scopely, which provides indirect access to Niantic's former gaming assets, and the esports organization ESL FACEIT Group.

Sources indicate that the PIF has not reached a final decision regarding the merger. Furthermore, the deal is unlikely to proceed before Savvy Games finalizes its acquisition of Moonton. Any potential integration of EA and Savvy Games would require extensive international regulatory approval.
