Ceer, the first domestic automotive brand in Saudi Arabia, has unveiled its inaugural vehicle lineup. The company is a joint venture between the Saudi Public Investment Fund and Foxconn. The new sedan and SUV models are built on the proprietary Exobot platform and feature designs led by former McLaren design director Rob Melville.
Both vehicles utilize an 800V electrical architecture, a tri-motor system, and a 112kWh battery pack, delivering a combined output of 850 horsepower. The cars support DC fast charging up to 250kW, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. Rimac provides the electric drive systems for these models.
Performance metrics differ between the two models: the sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds with a range of 670 km, while the SUV reaches the same speed in 2.9 seconds with a range of 560 km, based on NEDC standards. The interior features Yoke steering wheels and 8K panoramic displays.
Ceer plans to expand its portfolio to seven models within the next five years. Currently, the brand is focused on the Saudi Arabian market and neighboring countries, with no immediate plans for entry into the United States. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to reduce economic dependence on the oil industry.
