The Russian developer of hardware and software solutions, SATEL, has donated a collection of telecommunications equipment to the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications. The donation includes servers, various intercom devices, and dispatch consoles.
According to Maria Melkonyan, marketing director at SATEL, the company has been operating for over 30 years and has been developing its own networking equipment for more than 20 years. The donated items are intended to support the museum's educational and research initiatives.
Arseny Zolotnikov, curator of the museum's hardware collections, stated that the equipment will be preserved and exhibited to illustrate the evolution of domestic telecommunications systems. The museum, founded in 1872, maintains a broad collection covering postal, telegraph, telephone, radio, and space communications.
