Sapphire and Gigabyte have released BIOS updates for their Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards to address a security vulnerability identified as CVE-6023. The issue relates to the AMD vBIOS, necessitating a firmware update for affected hardware.

While AMD has not yet provided detailed public information regarding the AMD-SN-6023 vulnerability, the actions taken by these manufacturers suggest a widespread security concern. AMD previously disclosed another vulnerability, AMD-SB-6033, on September 30, 2026.

As of now, other major AMD partners, including Asus, ASRock, PowerColor, and XFX, have not issued similar firmware updates. Industry observers suggest that these companies may release patches if the security risk is determined to be significant enough to warrant action.
