Samyang has officially announced the upcoming AF 28-135mm F2.8 FE lens designed for Sony E-mount cameras. The manufacturer plans to release the new product in February 2027. The lens features a weight of 854g and an optical construction consisting of 20 elements in 16 groups.
The device supports an aperture range from F2.8 to F22 and utilizes 9 aperture blades. The filter diameter is 82 mm, while the lens body diameter measures 88 mm. The length of the lens varies from 151.3 mm at the wide-angle end to 190.3 mm at the telephoto end.
The lens includes a VCM focus motor and a physical AF/MF switch. It also features dust and moisture resistance. The minimum focusing distance is 0.27m for the wide-angle setting and 0.73m for the telephoto setting. The optics are treated with hydrophobic and UMC coatings.
