Samsung has initiated the final phase of clearing its monitor inventory in mainland China. The company expects to complete the liquidation of stock and sales channels by the end of November 2026.
National distributors and corporate partners have already ceased shipments of Samsung monitors. The manufacturer is currently conducting an inventory audit and preparing compensation packages for partners based on the volume of unsold products.
This move follows a broader decision announced on May 6, 2026, by Samsung (China) Investment to exit most consumer electronics segments in the country, including televisions, commercial displays, home appliances, and audio equipment.
Despite the exit strategy, the company will continue to provide full warranty and after-sales support for previously purchased devices in compliance with Chinese law. Samsung maintains that it will focus its future operations in China solely on smartphones and memory products.
Samsung has operated in China since 1992. Although the monitor segment was considered one of its stronger consumer businesses, it was part of a unified division that the company decided to dissolve. Following the restructuring, only the smartphone business remains active in the consumer market.
