Samsung Electronics has initiated mass production of the Exynos 2700 processor, which is set to power the upcoming Galaxy S27 smartphone lineup. According to reports, the production volume for this new chip has increased by 10% compared to the previous generation.
The company has secured supply for three specific models: the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Pro. The production ramp-up is primarily driven by the introduction of the new Pro model. The manufacturing cycle from wafer to finished chip typically spans three to four months, aligning with the expected January launch of the series.
Samsung will continue its dual-chip strategy for the S27 series. The Exynos 2700 will be featured in devices sold in South Korea and Europe. Meanwhile, models released in the United States and China are expected to utilize the sixth-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series, likely in a specialized version for Galaxy.
Performance benchmarks for the Exynos 2700 show a stable score of approximately 3,900 in the Geekbench 6 single-core test. In multi-core testing, the chip reportedly achieves over 14,000 points, which is about 9.5% higher than the performance of the sixth-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition.
